Eighteen years with its previous owner, followed by eight years off the road and in storage. We're bringing this yellow TL1000R back to life with a thorough mechanical recommission and a real effort to return the details to genuine OEM Suzuki specification. The finished bike should look every bit as good as it deserves.
The Motorcycle
18 Years With One Owner
The previous owner kept the TL1000R for 18 years, including its final eight years off the road in storage. After such a long period standing, it needed considerably more than a quick tidy-up. That is why we have undertaken such an extensive recommission.
Condition & Originality
Back Towards Original
We have deliberately sought genuine OEM Suzuki parts rather than fitting whatever happens to look similar. Original Suzuki exhaust cans, rear footrests and a pillion seat came with the motorcycle; we have also sourced OEM indicators, a new OEM front mudguard and genuine Suzuki fasteners.
It is about getting the details right as well as making the bike mechanically sound. Any remaining imperfections will be shown plainly when the final sales photographs and condition report are ready.
The Work
The Work Behind The Finish
Wheels, Tyres & Drive

Radiators & Cooling
Radiators removed, refurbished and refitted. Cooling system recommissioned with fresh coolant as part of the service.
Full Service
Spark plugs, engine oil and filter, air filter, coolant and brake fluid included in the service programme.
Genuine OEM Suzuki Details
OEM Suzuki indicators, a new OEM front mudguard and genuine Suzuki fasteners sourced to replace non-standard or tired items.
Brakes & Running Gear
Front calipers cleaned and refinished, brake system work, fork work and the usual collection of stubborn fixings and small jobs.
Fuel System & Finishing
Throttle bodies removed and cleaned, fuel-pump gasket renewed, brackets refinished and countless parts cleaned and polished.
These are the latest photographs from the workshop. The refurbished wheels, new tyres and replacement chain and sprockets are fitted. There is still work to do before the bodywork goes back on and the motorcycle is ready for sale.

A Closer Look
The Little Jobs Add Up
It's not just the big mechanical jobs. We've been working through the wiring, indicator mountings and running gear while the bodywork is off. These are workshop-stage photographs, not the final sales presentation.
